Have you seen the movie "Love Actually"? I believe that anyone who watched it now appreciates the different concepts of Love, that Love knows no age, Love knows no profession, Love knows no language, Love knows no distance, and the list goes on.
I've known Carla since High School through my good friends. Because we move in close social circles and have common friends, we became friends as well. Until this day, Carla is still the same friendly and charming lady, who always wears a sweet smile on her face.
Witnessing Carla and Jakob's wedding ceremony reminds me that Love knows no language and no distance. Jakob is from the other side of the world, which is Germany, and Carla is from the Philippines. I admire people who are tested by distance and time, and even though they are physically apart, they have managed to make the relationship work. It just shows how devoted they are as individuals and committed as a couple, which is always a good sign.
The couple got married in a private ceremony witnessed by their families and closest friends. What we love about this wedding is they were able to capture the feel of a relaxed, rustic and shabby chic feel of the wedding. Before their wedding day in the Philippines, their friends from Germany flew in and were checked in the same wedding ceremony venue and Carla's friends from high school were also checked in the same resort the night before the wedding. On the actual wedding day itself, friends and family took time to relax and roam around the place, went for a dip in the pool, enjoy nature, catch up with the rest of their friends before the start of the wedding ceremony in the afternoon. In short, you can definitely feel the union of two different families and culture through Carla and Jakob.
Carla and Jakob got married last December 2013 in Denmark. |
To Carla and Jakob,
Congratulations!
Hope you love the flowers we did.
